I would suggest that you NOT see the movie if you really liked the book. Personally I think it ruined the story for me. I LOVED the book way more. EVERYTHING in the book looked better in my HEAD than on screen.....I felt that the movie didn't do the book any JUSTICE at all. Didn't do a very good job in explaining the background of why certain things were happening. If you DID NOT read the book than you were LEFT CONFUSED. I was extremely disappointed after I saw it. I am HOPING that the NEXT MOVIE will be A LOT better......

The movie was a let down for me for sure! I love the books so much and movie didn't have and magic or the heart that is in the books. Having said that what book to movie adaptation EVER does, look at Harry Potter! I thought the movie was rushed and under budget for a book of such brilliance. The diolog was poor, especially for Edward. He didn't speek in the cadence of someone born in the turn of the century. That really rubbed me wrong. I guess it could have been worse but undoubtably wish a bigger studio would have picked it up, with more money, a BETTER director, and a better script. SIGH.
Having said that I did really enjoy the movie and have seen it 3 times but I can seperate it in my head book/movie with out diffaculty so......

i'm glad there's a new director. if you go to sm's sight it talka about him. and he states"i'm gonna follow the book the best i can and try not to change too much." or something. it made me smile. and plus the fact that stephenie i heard will be there more often to help potray the book:)

i watched it because i wanted to relive the story without having to read the books over and over again cause i just don't have the time for that. but i was dissapointed. i think if you havn't read the books the film stands on it's own two feet but when you've read the books and your sat watching the most amazing story be brought to life and you know when they've missed a scene out, put a new scene in or changed something it's a let down. i was so looking forward to the scene where they first kiss and when they first fall in love and it's just not the same as it is in the book and i was gutted about that! im not saying i don't like the film but i do prefer the book. which isn't something i normally say haha. normally im all for the films and would never read a book.

well let me just say I am now scared to watch the movie. I don't want the story to change in my head. I loved the book way to much. I also know that there is no way I can hold out much longer, I will break down and watch it but now I'm truely worried on how bad it is going to be. I understood what everyone was saying and I plan to go into it with my expectations low and if they happen to improve then yeaaaaa but from what I have read I highly doubt it

I enjoyed the movie and the book, yes I did enjoy the book more and think the movie would have been better if certain scenes were in the movie(ie: the scene where they were doing blood testing at school)
